Job summary

GE Aerospace in Gloucester is seeking an inspector to manage the return of parts to a serviceable condition in line with customer POs. This role involves inspecting components, creating work scopes, and using an Oracle ERP system under aerospace regulations.

You will interact with multiple departments, supporting inspection knowledge where possible and using lean principles to streamline processes. Training in additional areas such as repair or strip may be provided.

Qualifications

Safety and Quality mindset is essential.
Ability to use detailed manuals and drawings to support inspection.
Minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or time served) is required.
PC literate with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
Attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

Create parent and child jobs within an Oracle ERP system.
Lay out and inspect components according to the Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).
Create job cards and layouts for the shop.
Ensure traceability is maintained throughout the process.
Strip down and repair components.
Resolve rejects and apply for concessions with Engineering where necessary.
Support engineering/quality investigations and project work as required.
Training in additional areas as required by the business (Repair, Strip).
