Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an inspector to manage the return of parts to serviceable condition, inspect components to CMM, and create job layouts within an Oracle ERP system. You will support multiple departments and apply lean principles to streamline processes in a regulated aerospace environment.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, attention to detail, and the ability to work with detailed manuals and drawings, with flexible working arrangements available.

Qualifications

• Safety and quality mindset; ability to use detailed manuals, drawings and other documentation to aid inspection.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) or time served within the business.
• PC literate with excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
• Attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Creating parent and child jobs within an Oracle ERP system.
• Laying out and inspecting components iaw the Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM).
• Creation of job cards and layouts for the shop.
• Ensuring traceability is maintained throughout the process.
• Strip down and repair of components.
• Actively resolving rejects within the business and applying for concessions with Engineering where necessary
• Supporting engineering/quality investigations and project work as and when required.
• Training in any additional areas as required by the business (i.e. Repair, Strip)
