Saab UK is recruiting a modelling and simulation engineer to join the Blue Bear UAV team in Beford. You will develop Simulink models of aircraft and UAV systems, auto-code to C/C++ and DLLs, and integrate models into distributed simulations for System-of-Systems contexts.

The role involves validation, verification, and results analysis to meet customer requirements, with responsibility for documentation and collaboration across engineering disciplines.

Competenze

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink environments including Stateflow.
• Ability to auto-code to C/C++ and DLLs.
• Experience in flight dynamics and aircraft performance modelling.
• Pilot modelling expertise is advantageous.
• Modelling sensors and signatures (RF and EO/IR).
• Knowledge of Earth coordinate systems (Flat, spherical, WGS-84).
• Experience with Distributed Simulation (DIS, HLA) and Git.
• Strong problem solving and optimisation skills.
• Ability to integrate models into system-of-systems frameworks.
