Job summary

Proactive Global in Waterbeach, England, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector on a permanent basis to ensure products are inspected and released in accordance with customer requirements, drawings and relevant quality standards.

The successful candidate will support teams across the business, perform inspections with verniers, micrometers and gauges, manage First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102, and maintain traceable release documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing quality inspection.
• Knowledge of AS9100/AS9102 standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with FAI processes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and approve products per drawings and specs.
• Operate measurement tools (verniers, micrometers, gauges).
• Record non-conformances and support investigations.
• Complete inspection and release documentation.
• Support audits and AS9100/AS9102 compliance.
• Collaborate with QA and other departments.
