Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer - Materials to strengthen the external supply chain. You will drive quality assurance and continuous improvement, assess supplier capabilities, and ensure compliance with Safran's technical and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Supplier Quality Industrialisation & Flow Manager, you will influence supplier selection, support audits, and lead quality initiatives across materials suppliers while collaborating with

Qualifications

• HNC or degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical discipline.
• Experience with materials manufacture, forging and casting processes; Titanium, UHSS, and high-grade aluminium knowledge.
• Experience with aerospace suppliers in regulated environments; strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing and NPI.
• Proven supplier quality experience including conducting or supporting supplier audits.
• Strong report writing, data analysis, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to lead audits and drive corrective actions without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality initiatives and continuous improvement across the external supply chain.
• Ensure supplier processes, systems, and products meet Safran's requirements, including audits.
• Support introduction and transfer of parts across the supply base.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enable smooth industrial transitions and maintain product integrity.
• Develop supplier competencies in APQP, PFMEA, PPAP in line with Safran's DVI processes.
• Maintain approved vendor and quality databases and provide accurate reporting and traceability.
