Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is seeking a Laboratory Specialist to support material science assessments for a leading aerospace manufacturer in Europe. Based in a specialist manufacturing facility in Broughton, you will conduct hands-on laboratory testing to validate material properties and process compliance, including chemical sample preparation and auditing of processes.

The role is shift-based (early, late, night on a rota), full-time onsite for access to laboratory equipment, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Industrial laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of IC/ICP/XRF/FTIR and titration methods.
• Experience with sample prep and dilutions.
• Understanding of coatings and surface treatments.

Responsibilities

• Chemical analysis of surface treatments and related fluids.
• Lead trials for new products before use.
• Conduct chemical analyses incl. IC, ICP-OES, XRF, FTIR, COD, titrations.
• Document test data and generate reports.
• Prepare samples and perform dilutions for analyses.
• Support deviation investigations with chemical analysis.
• Collaborate with production to troubleshoot process deviations.
