Job summary

Evolito is seeking a Materials Engineer to join our team to support materials characterisation, testing and analysis across the full product lifecycle from design to flight.

Reporting to the Principal Materials Engineer, you will own material selection, testing and data analysis while collaborating with Design, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to enable airworthiness certification and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Materials Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with materials characterisation, mechanical or thermal testing.
• Knowledge of metals, polymers, composites and adhesives.

Responsibilities

• Characterise materials for projects and support testing in-house or via approved test houses.
• Provide input on material selection to ensure functionality and manufacturability; advise on new materials.
• Support production processes development and continuous improvement.
• Conduct failure investigations and develop data processing methodologies.
• Create test procedures to verify long-term materials integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to select and audit suppliers.
• Report experiments and results to the wider team and stakeholders.
