Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a Material Controller to join the Operations team in the UK. You will report to the Logistics Manager and play a hands-on role in stores, goods-in and dispatch, ensuring aerospace-grade traceability and compliance with quality standards.

Experience with an MRP system is desirable to support efficient material flow. Responsibilities include receiving components, issuing materials to Works Orders, performing goods inwards checks and maintaining accurate stock records.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and workload prioritisation skills.
• Hands-on approach across stores, goods-in and dispatch.
• Experience with aerospace standards, traceability and materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Receive components and materials from customers and suppliers.
• Kitting and issuing to shop floor to meet turnaround schedules.
• Check goods inwards paperwork and accept deliveries to stock.
• Maintain traceability of all materials within operations.
• Ensure paperwork complies with current quality standards (BMS).
• Manage picks, kitting, receipts, put-aways and dispatch transactions.
• Process Works Orders and sub-contracting; monitor shelf-life and inventory.
