Job summary

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Technical Documentation to support pioneering aerospace manufacturing research and development in collaboration with industry partners. You will help document, improve and support advanced manufacturing processes at HTCR facilities.

As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will create, manage and control essential technical documentation, ensuring knowledge is captured, maintained and communicated across

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline or equivalent industrial experience.
• Experience creating and managing technical documentation within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written communication and technical writing skills.
• Strong organisational and document control discipline.

Responsibilities

• Creating and updating Technical Instructions
• Maintaining Engineering Work Instructions
• Producing and updating training documentation and training packs
• Managing equipment handover documentation ("Blue Folder" documentation)
• Archiving and controlling fixed process documentation
• Tracking documentation through review and approval workflows
• Maintaining documentation logs and status reports
• Supporting manufacturing trials and research activities in line with HTRC processes
• Collaborating with manufacturing, design, operations, research and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
