Job summary

Morson is partnering with a leading Aerospace organisation to recruit a Manufacturing Project Manager for a 12-month contract, on site in Gloucester. The role leads industrialisation projects related to design changes, NPI and transfers, managing the full lifecycle from concept to stable production.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams across Manufacturing Engineering, Design, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain, ensuring readiness and compliance with aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in manufacturing/industrial engineering.
• Knowledge of machining and assembly processes.
• Experience in aerospace or automotive industrialisation.
• Familiar with APQP/NPI tools (PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, control plans).
• Ability to compile and review PPAP documents.
• Experience with aerospace regulatory procedures (FAIR, APQP).
• Lean experience (Green Belt preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead industrialisation projects for design changes, NPI and industrial transfers.
• Manage full project lifecycle to deliver on time, scope and budget.
• Support process, inspection and equipment development and validation in office and production.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Manufacturing Engineering, Design, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain.
• Ensure manufacturing readiness for ramp-up and stable production per aerospace requirements.
• Drive system and process improvement projects delivering robust solutions.
• Provide status updates and reports to stakeholders.
