Job summary

AEM Limited in Ramsgate, Kent, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support production and drive NPI, tooling and process improvements within our aerospace MRO environment.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Quality and Production to deliver safe, compliant, cost-effective solutions, develop capability, and sustain Lean initiatives while adhering to aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering roles within aerospace or regulated industries.
• Proficiency with CAD and engineering documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to production and overhaul operations, resolving issues.
• Lead and support NPI and capability development projects from concept to implementation.
• Evaluate aircraft components to develop repair, overhaul and manufacturing solutions.
• Design tooling, fixtures, test equipment and manufacturing aids.
• Support reverse engineering to expand repair capabilities.
• Produce and maintain engineering documentation including reports, drawings, specifications and SOPs.
• Ensure processes and documentation comply with data, customer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Conduct root cause investigations using FMEA, 8D and 5 Why.
• Analyse processes and implement improvements to enhance quality and productivity.
• Apply industrial engineering to establish standard times and optimise workflows.
• Collaborate to transfer new capabilities into production.
• Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and Operational Excellence.
