Job summary

Parker Meggitt in Ansty Park is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to turn advanced aerospace engineering into high-quality parts. You will own machining processes, create CNC programs, routings and BOMs, and drive PFMEA and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams to improve yield and on-time delivery.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship with 5–10 years in aerospace manufacturing, on-site work five days a week, and hands-on problem solving with Lean and Six Sigma tools.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent practical engineering training.
• Minimum HNC/HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years’ aerospace manufacturing/engineering experience.
• Proven CNC programming and machining knowledge for complex components.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs to support industrialisation of new and legacy components.
• Develop routing and rework salvage schemes for production.
• Engage in PFMEA and Zero-Defect initiatives to reduce non-conformance and improve FPY.
• Develop and validate manufacturing methods for efficient, repeatable production.
• Create and maintain routings, BOMs, tooling specs and process documentation.
• Collaborate with design, quality and supply chain to improve manufacturability and lead times.
