Job summary

Meritus Talent is recruiting a Laboratory Specialist for an aerospace and advanced manufacturing organisation in North Wales. The role focuses on hands-on chemical analysis, laboratory testing and process control to support high-performance components.

You will work with engineering, production and quality teams to ensure processes stay within specification, support trials and investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement in a practical industrial lab environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment.
• Strong chemistry background with practical chemical analysis experience.
• Experience with IC, ICP, XRF, FTIR, titration and related analytical methods.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical analysis of surface treatments, rinse tanks and fluids.
• Lead laboratory trials for new products and processes.
• Prepare samples and maintain calibration of lab equipment.
• Analyse results and produce clear technical reports for teams.
• Support non-conformance investigations through chemical analysis.
• Ensure documentation within the quality system.
