Job summary

GKN Aerospace in Luton is seeking a proactive HSE Advisor to strengthen safety and environmental performance at the site. You will work with the HSE Lead to deliver strategy, ensure compliance with ISO standards, and support audits and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Health, Safety and Environment role within manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of HSE management principles and legal requirements.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance activities.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the HSE Lead in delivering the site's HSE strategy and objectives.
• Promote a positive HSE culture across the organisation through leadership.
• Maintain company HSE policies, standards and procedures.
• Provide HSE advice and support to managers and staff.
• Facilitate risk assessments and safe work practices with effective controls.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, identify root causes and actions.
• Manage HSE reporting, audits and performance data.
• Produce HSE performance reports and communicate trends.
• Support audits, customer assessments and certifications.
• Assist in maintaining ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 systems.
• Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to enhance competence.
