Job summary

Acorn by Synergie, in partnership with Honeywell, is seeking a Fitter / Wireman / Tester to join its aerospace manufacturing team in Yeovil, Somerset. This full-time role starts as soon as possible.

You will fit mechanical components, wire and test Life Support and Environmental Control Systems equipment, following engineering drawings and IPC/J standards where applicable.

Shifts are Monday to Thursday 7am-3:30pm and Friday 7am-1pm, with hourly pay of £18.99–£19.54 DOE. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Mechanical fitting and wiring knowledge in aerospace contexts.
• Awareness of pressure testing requirements and procedures.
• Commitment to health and safety standards on the shop floor.
• Ability to follow company processes and documentation.
• Experience working with customers and meeting targets.
• Able to collaborate with designers and engineers.
• Aerospace wiring experience, including soldering to J standard.
• Crimping to IPC processing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce products from engineering drawings and instructions.
• Carry out mechanical fitting and testing of Life Support and Environmental Control Systems equipment.
• Undertake OCQ (Operator Control of Quality) activities.
• Ensure work is completed on time and to the required standard.
• Interpret drawings and follow process layouts and documentation.
• Work within a Lean manufacturing environment.
