RTX, a Collins Aerospace company in Wolverhampton, is hiring an on-site Fabricator/Welder. You will read engineering drawings, assemble and weld aluminium and steel, and perform tests to meet strict quality standards.

You'll support 5S/TPM projects, maintain material traceability, and participate in ongoing training including welding certification, with opportunities for career growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in fabrication, sheet metal work, mechanical or engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with hand fabrication and sheet metal work.
• Ability to meet high tolerance standards to a thousandth of an inch.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly guidelines to complete tasks with precision.
• Assemble and test products at various stages of production – Air under water and a safety proof test.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, TPM, Turnbacks, and Clinics.
• Maintain traceability of materials and adhere to rigorous quality control standards.
• Pursue ongoing training, including welding certification requirements.
• Keep the workspace clean, organized and compliant with company standards.
• Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements.
