Job summary

TT Electronics Barnstaple is seeking a FAIR Engineer within the Quality team to produce and submit First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102. The role supports new parts and tooling, and ensures documentation such as Route Cards and Control Plans align with requirements.

The six-month fixed-term contract involves internal AS9100 audits, delta/fair approvals, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements while maintaining safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Understanding of AS9100 quality management systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret KC and tolerances.
• Knowledge of GD&T and how to reconcile test data with tolerances.
• Strong organisation, planning and attention to detail.
• Excellent maths and English skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102.
• Evaluate production documentation (Route Cards, Job Traveller, Control Plans).
• Conduct internal audits to AS9100 and supplier fair reviews.
• Maintain customer contact and approve delta fairs and full fairs.
• Support introduction of new parts and tools into manufacturing.
