Job summary

Verify Europe Ltd. in Harlow, Essex is seeking an experienced First Article Inspection (FAI) Engineer to conduct FAIs on machined, fabricated and assembled components, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.

The role focuses on signing off FAIRs and verifying conformance to engineering drawings and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong AS9102 knowledge, experience with RCA/CARs, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting and signing off FAIRs.
• Strong AS9102 knowledge and comprehension of FAIR requirements.
• Background inspecting mechanical aerospace components or precision-engineered parts.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using a range of inspection techniques and measurement equipment.
• Proven RCA and corrective-action implementation experience.
• Excellent documentation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform FAIs on machined, fabricated and assembled products.
• Review and approve FAIRs per AS9102 requirements.
• Verify conformity to drawings, specs and customer requirements.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate equipment.
• Support investigations into non-conformances and quality issues.
• Generate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
• Ensure quality documentation is accurate and aerospace-compliant.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality teams to resolve issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
