Bond Williams is recruiting for an Embedded Systems Hardware Engineer to design and test production-ready controllers for aerospace applications in Oxford. The role focuses on hardware design, PCB layout, and robust debugging within an agile team.

Your background in embedded hardware, PCB design, and familiarity with C/C++ and STM32 platforms will be highly valued. A relevant engineering degree and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant engineering field (2:1 or above) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent understanding of PCB design best practices and principles, from component selection and schematics to layout.
  • Exposure to hardware and firmware design projects.
  • Highly effective communicator who collaborates effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop hardware for electric motor controllers including component selection, schematic capture and PCB layout
  • Rapidly implement hardware solutions for onboarding new engine ancillaries
  • Contribute to the testing of the controller to ensure reliability and robustness
  • Work within a fast paced, agile development team in collaboration with other engineers
  • Work collaboratively to solve complex problems with innovative solutions
