Acron Aviation Training Systems in Greater London (hybrid) is seeking engineers to design and develop electrical hardware for cutting-edge flight simulators. You will work on mechanical bias, ensure alignment with customer requirements, and contribute to high-performance hardware solutions.

The role emphasizes safety-critical aerospace standards, project collaboration with software and systems teams, and mentoring junior engineers while delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in hardware design of electrical systems and documentation.
• 5–10 years in electrical design within aerospace or simulation industries.
• Familiarity with BS 7671 and EMC directives.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of electrical hardware for flight simulators.
• Develop hardware capabilities focusing on quality, performance, reliability in aerospace.
• Create technical specifications, schematics, and models for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and safety-critical requirements.
• Oversee testing, validation, and troubleshooting of hardware systems.
• Evaluate new technologies and materials for flight simulation products.
• Mentor junior engineers and engage with suppliers.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with customer expectations.
• Work within gated design process with milestones.
