Job summary

South-West-Recruitment is recruiting for Trainee Cable Assemblers to support a world-class test system solutions provider. You will produce looms and cable assemblies from drawings and kits to the required build standards and timelines.

Role requires high-quality soldering and wiring, IPC 620 Class 3 compliance, crimping, lacing and splicing. Occasional on-site support and security checks are part of the position.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar work essential, ideally within defense/aerospace.
• IPC 620 certified and able to meet security requirements.
• Full driving license is preferred.
• Willing to undergo Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Solder to a consistently high standard for wiring looms and cable assemblies.
• Crimp, lace and splice to aerospace standards; wire cabinets and fixtures.
• Assist with PCB assembly; liaise with in-house engineers for build solutions.
• Interpret engineering drawings and wiring schedules; work to IPC 620 Class 3.
• Maintain tidy, methodical work and meet deadlines; provide on-site support as needed.
