Job summary

GKN Aerospace in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight invites you to join a four-year Business Administration Apprenticeship. You’ll learn by doing, get paid while you train, and work alongside experienced colleagues to develop transferable skills in manufacturing and engineering.

You’ll rotate through programme management, supply chain and procurement, with early hands-on experience and ongoing support from an apprenticeship team and college studies. No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English.
• Ideally, you will also have a business-related qualification, either at GCSE or Level 3.
• Notes: Functional Skills Level 2 in English & Maths, are a suitable alternative to GCSE English & Maths at grade 4 or above.
• 2. Other suitable Level 2 qualifications will be considered, if you do not have 5 GCSE’s.

Responsibilities

• Years 1 & 2 – Your first two years are all about getting you ready to hit the ground running. You’ll be onsite from day one, building the core skills, knowledge, and confidence you need to succeed – with the right mix of learning, support, and real role experience to make it happen.
• Years 3 & 4 – You’ll have completed your Business Administration End Point Assessment, and move onto a higher-level specialist apprenticeship, focusing in one of the business functional departments: which could be programme management, supply chain management or procurement.
