Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power in Pitstone seeks an Assembly Operative to join a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing team. You will assemble, repair and inspect electrical equipment, read engineering drawings and ensure quality and safety standards.

The role involves lifting up to 25 kg, using torque wrenches and fixtures, with strong training and a clear career path, plus benefits including pension, holiday entitlement and an onsite canteen.

Qualifications

• Experienced with electrical or electro-mechanical assembly and repair.
• Able to read engineering drawings and interpret layouts.
• Experience using hand tools, torque wrenches, fixtures and jigs.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused working practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, repair and inspect aerospace electrical equipment and components.
• Build and overhauls of generators and rotor assemblies; balance rotor assemblies.
• Read drawings, inspect products with precision measuring and electrical test equipment.
• Ensure work complies with quality, safety and regulatory standards.
