Job summary

D.O.M. magazine is seeking an Assembly Operator & Tester in Fareham for a permanent role. You will be trained in mechanical assembly for an exciting aerospace project and use your assembly experience to drive quality standards within a progressive company.

Typical hours are twilight shifts (14:00–22:30, Mon–Thu; 11:00–16:00 on Fridays) with substantial overtime once fully trained. Full training is provided, and the package includes 25 days leave, a pension scheme, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assembler or similar position.
• Exposure to a similar industry background within a manufacturing or production environment.
• An understanding of Mechanical Assembly is a strong plus but can be trained.
• Review engineering drawings and apply best practice to project standards.
• Eagerness for career progression and a team-player.

Responsibilities

• Assemble & testing of a niche temperature sensor component for a well-established project.
• Mechanically build component parts to project specifications.
• Set up jigs, fixtures and equipment for assembly or test purposes.
• Keep to ongoing manufacturing operations standards and deadlines.
