Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer in Castle Donington. You will set, program and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce complex, high-precision components for aerospace programmes in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

You’ll work on both NPI and established production, collaborating with Engineering and Manufacturing teams, focusing on right-first-time parts, tool selection, and process optimisation while

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Machinist/Programmer in aerospace, motorsport or precision engineering.
• Strong experience with 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and program 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Manufacture complex aerospace components to tight tolerances.
• Select tooling, feeds and speeds for efficiency.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T.
• Carry out in-process inspections with precision measurement tools.
• Support NPI and production programmes with Engineering teams.
• Improve cycle times and productivity through process optimisation.
• Maintain safety, quality and 5S standards.
