Pay Range: £30.29 per hour (based on provided pay range, actual pay depends on skills and experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and skilled Aeronautical Engineering Lecturer. The successful candidate will also receive a £3,000 annual market supplement.

Responsibilities
  • Classroom teaching, tutorials, outreach, residential, open, and distance learning courses, including student placements
  • Organizational, administrative tasks, preparation, marking, and student welfare and academic counseling
  • Acting as a Personal Tutor and providing pastoral support
  • Contributing to team learning and teaching approaches
  • Implementing student-centered learning programs and induction procedures
  • Setting, assessing, and providing feedback on assignments
  • Organizing work placements for students
Qualifications and Experience
  • Industry experience in manufacturing or maintenance within Aeronautical Engineering
  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths or equivalent
  • Level 3 qualification in relevant area or willingness to achieve within specified timeframe
  • Level 5 Teaching qualification or willingness to attain it
  • Assessors and Moderators Award (preferred)
Skills & Attributes
  • Effective communication skills across diverse groups
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • IT proficiency (ECDL or equivalent)
  • Adaptability, creativity, and previous teaching or apprenticeship support experience
