Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton is seeking an Aerodynamic Icing Engineer to join our team and shape the next generation of Airbus aircraft. You will work on state-of-the-art icing modelling and contribute to certification activities, influencing future icing requirements.

You will collaborate with Future Projects and R&D stakeholders to analyse wind tunnel and flight test data, applying data-driven methods to improve aircraft performance and safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aerodynamics and factors influencing lift and drag.
• Ability to communicate complex messages clearly.
• Ability to lead team members or subcontractors on projects in an international environment.
• Experience in Python coding for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Model and simulate aerodynamic icing accretion and its effects on aircraft performance, handling, and safety.
• Contribute to aerodynamic icing certification using data- and engineering-driven methods.
• Define and analyse wind tunnel test results at world-leading facilities.
• Define, attend and analyse flight test results, guiding decisions based on telemetry data.
