Job Title: Aerodrome Aviation Security Training and Compliance Manager

Location: Warton (Full-time on site)

Salary: From £47,683.00+

What you'll be doing
  • You will monitor and manage compliance with all aspects of aviation security relating to the Warton Aerodrome, whilst collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesion between Aerodrome and overall Warton security outputs and requirements.
  • This role will require you to develop, maintain and oversee the Warton Aerodrome Aviation Security Programme (ASP) and associated policies ensuring that its implementation meet all legal requirements
  • You will develop, maintain and implement Standard Operating Procedures, Contingency Plans, SeMS quality control and training programmes for Security within the Aerodrome
  • Throughout this role you will support the Aerodrome Manager in the planning and exercising of aerodrome and AvSec exercises in accordance with contingency planning requirements for aerodrome safety and national security
  • Having the opportunity to chair and/or attend Security Risk Meetings and Security forums, such as Risk Advisory Group (RAG), Security Executive Group (SEG) and the Aviation Security Committee (ASC)
  • You will be responsible to the Aerodrome Manager for the oversight and training of aviation security functions and contracted 3rd Party Providers for aviation security implementation, work closely with the Corporate Air Travel and Cargo departments to ensure all processes are integrated and adhered to
  • You will develop and maintain professional relationships with local Police, UK Border Force, UK AvSec Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Department for Transport (DfT) as required
Your skills and experiences

Essential:

  • Aviation security manager trained (ASM) qualified
  • Previous experience in aviation and physical security management
  • Ability to work within multi agency settings, in accordance with JESIP (joint emergency services interoperability programme)
  • Experience with chairing meetings and undertake role specific risk assessment
  • Strong background in stakeholder management and compliance, with demonstrable team leadership skills

Desirable:

  • A formal training and assessing qualification
  • Previous experience in compliance monitoring

The Warton Unit Security Team

The Warton unit security team are required to provide heightened levels of security, delivered by a large security team, primarily responsible for physical site security and support to flight operations.
