About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria
  1. Experience at a senior level in public policy or public administration, either as a senior civil/public servant or as an elected politician.
  2. An excellent reputation in policy or politics, both nationally and internationally.
  3. The ability to open doors at the highest levels of government in the UK and overseas, to support the delivery of existing programmes and develop new programmes.
  4. An ability to work with organisations across the globe and to reach across political divides.
  5. An understanding of the UK higher education context.
  6. Experience in developing and executing strategies, including developing new business streams.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to understand, and interest in, the needs of working professionals in governments.
Desirable criteria
  1. Experience of working within higher education.
  2. Experience with educating students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
