Job summary

Natural Resources Wales (Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru) is seeking an HR Advisor to support managers and employees across NRW with expert guidance on a wide range of people matters. The role focuses on disciplinary, grievance and attendance issues, coaching teams to apply policies consistently.

You will work closely with colleagues in the People team to deliver solutions and identify trends. The organisation supports flexible working and a hybrid pattern.

The role

Build on your HR experience by helping to deliver a high-quality service that supports managers and employees across NRW.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our People team as a HR Advisor, providing expert advice and guidance on a wide range of people matters. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting managers to confidently manage their teams, navigate complex employee relations issues and apply people policies consistently and effectively.

You’ll use your expertise to provide professional advice and coaching on disciplinary, grievance, capability, attendance management and other employee relations matters. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the People team, you’ll help deliver practical solutions, identify trends and support key people initiatives within the Directorate and across NRW.

Beyond the technical aspects, you’ll be a trusted advisor, relationship-builder and problem-solver who helps managers and employees achieve positive outcomes. As an organisation we support flexible working. You will be contracted to the nearest NRW office to your home and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment. Any regular face-to-face meetings or training will be planned in advance.

We are looking to appoint 2.7 FTE and welcome applications both on a full and part time basis.
