The Adviser Communities will play a pivotal role in supporting the communities target operating model by engaging local communities, fostering strong partnerships, and facilitating the delivery of impactful initiatives. This position requires a dedicated individual who can act as a local change agent, empowering communities and ensuring alignment with Scope's mission and goals.
Within the locations which may be delivering funded Scope initiatives around any of our strategic goals this role will be called upon to support and deliver directly within the community.
Accountabilities of the role
To deliver the responsibilities, below:
- Building and maintaining partnerships with local stakeholders including politicians, disabled people's organisations (DPOs), businesses, volunteers, and community members.
- Driving community-driven initiatives to support Scope's key goals: reducing the disability employment gap, ending the disability price tag, and transforming societal attitudes about disability.
- Promote Scope’s identify and mission in communities through in-store messaging, social media, and PR opportunities.

- Deliver direct support to disabled people in line with funded initiatives and service requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate local initiatives and events that align with Scope's mission.
- Collect and analyse feedback from regional programs to inform evidence-based decision-making and improve service delivery.
- Utilise digital tools (e.g., CRM systems) to track engagement, gather insights, and ensure effective collaboration.
- Support fundraising efforts by organising events and connecting funders and businesses with Scope’s offerings.
- Recruit and develop volunteers and supporters to strengthen Scope’s movement for change.

- Strong understanding of disability issues and advocacy.
