  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in media or advertising.
  • Confidence in meeting clients face-to-face and managing your own diary.
  • Strong knowledge of Brighton and the wider Sussex area.

Commission: Uncapped on top of basic salary, OTE 40k
Sussex Life Magazine is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Advertising Sales Consultant to join our team. This is a target-driven role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment and is passionate about connecting premium brands with a discerning lifestyle audience.

You will be responsible for selling multi-platform advertising solutions across our prestigious print and digital portfolio. This includes Sussex Life Magazine, a leading luxury lifestyle title with a loyal and affluent readership. There will also be scope to sell advertising into The Brighton Argus, one of the region’s most popular daily newspapers, offering further reach and visibility for your clients.

This is a field-based role, and you will be expected to attend regular face-to-face meetings with clients across Brighton and the wider Sussex region. You must be based locally and have a full UK driving licence.



Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets and KPIs
  • Proactively generate leads and manage a sales pipeline
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular in-person meetings
  • Sell across a range of platforms, including print, digital, social media, video, and events
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver effective advertising campaigns
  • Maintain accurate records of activity and client communications


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in media or advertising
  • A consultative sales approach with strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Confidence in meeting clients face-to-face and managing your own diary
  • A results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Digital awareness or a willingness to learn (full training provided)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Strong knowledge of Brighton and the wider Sussex area, with a genuine connection to the local community
  • You must be based locally and able to travel across the region for client meetings
