We have an exciting opportunity for an Advertising Account Manager to join our Commercial team. Selling across both the agency and client direct, you will provide multi-platform solutions, promoting The Spectator and UnHerd as advertising partners of choice.

If you have a natural flair for sales and negotiation, along with previous experience of agency or client facing sales within a publishing or digital environment, then this is a fantastic role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow The Spectator and UnHerd's client, agency and digital advertising revenues, promoting the benefits of working with us as an advertising partner of choice.
  • Work with a designated number of clients and agencies, provide suitable media solutions based on the needs of our clients as part of a consultative sales process
  • Manage allocated accounts to ensure that appropriate business plans are in place and that all work is executed and delivered to the highest standards
  • Identify and develop new accounts in allocated business areas with a particular focus on growing our client advertising campaigns
  • Proactively seek every opportunity to develop digital media concepts within our existing business relationships
  • Produce, prepare, interpret and present creative business pitches and recommendations for client campaigns
  • Monitor and direct client projects from initial briefing through to final delivery
  • Effectively maintain strong client and agency relationships at all levels
  • Adapt strategies and plans to address issues and exploit opportunities
  • Pro-actively create new leads, in new markets, seeing this through from initial contact to booking, thereby developing wider commercial and promotional partnerships across all brands
  • Prepare presentations for both internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

About You:

  • Previous experience of agency or client sales and a knowledge of print and digital advertising in a consumer publisher environment or client facing sales experience
  • Previous experience of selling multi-platform solutions
  • Able to problem-solve, develop new ideas and interpret client briefs and key goals
  • Proven track record at generating revenue
  • Self-motivated and organised; comfortable dealing with a varied workload and delivering projects as part of a cross-functional team
  • A keen interest in the world of Politics would be an advantage
