12:30-4:30 Monday, Wednesday, Friday Tuesday 10:30-4:30 Saturday and Sunday full and half days Start/end times are flexible Additional evening work available Just let us know your availability!

Hourly pay rate:
Employed - £16.00/self employed - £20

We are looking for a dedicated, adventurous, creative PAs to support our 31 year old Autistic daughter. She is non-verbal, has a learning disability, sensory processing disorder, complex needs and requires prompting with daily activities/personal care and supervision to keep her safe.

The successful applicant will also need to have a patient, understanding nature and the ability to communicate effectively with our daughter in order to build the trusting supportive relationship required for the role.

Her disability affects all aspects of her life, yet despite the challenges she is a happy cheeky character who loves a laugh. She enjoys skateboarding, drumming, bouldering, cycling, hiking, surfing, playing Chess, arts, crafts and generally being active and creative amongst other things!

The work will take place both in the family home and out in the community. Actively supporting my daughter in a wide range of activities she enjoys. We have a couple of PA/carers on our team but would like to have someone else to cover some sessions on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday you will need to be available for occasional weekend support too. This role would be suitable for one or two carers to take on, so please apply even if you can only work some of the days.

Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Other relevant duties as required

- Bathroom assistance

Employee Duties:
- Confident driver with a clean driving license
- Willing to drive a Motability car
- Confident navigator in all situations (car and walking)
- Understanding of an individual’s complex sensory and communication needs
- Ability to connect, interact, and build a meaningful, trusting relationship
- Willingness to find numerous ways to communicate
- Provide personal care throughout the day
- Stay alert to foresee possible stressors and dangers
- Think for the individual and always stay attentive to needs
- Good level of strength and fitness required
- Prompt and physical assistance always required
- Intensive interaction
- Food prep, assistance around meals, and hydration monitoring throughout the day
- Allergy awareness (training can be provided)
- Ability to administer medication

Desirable Requirements:
- First Aid & Epi pen trained
