Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience

Essential criteria

  • CMT rotation (or equivalent)
  • Training post in cardiology
  • Emergency echo skills
  • Basic skills coronary angiography
  • ECG interpretation
  • Management of cardiology patients in acute and chronic disease
  • Commitment to training and audit
  • Independent operator for bradycardia pacing

Desirable criteria

  • Track record in teaching and training
  • BSE Accreditation in adult transthoracic
  • Temporary pacemaker insertion
  • Research experience
  • Publications
  • Experience of advanced heart failure training
  • Experience of ICC
  • Senior Fellows will have appropriate skills & experience to demonstrate in the chosen specialty minimum equivalent to ST3.
