A prominent healthcare institution in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a CCT fellow in devices. This 12-month fixed-term appointment is ideal for registrars looking to enhance their skills in complex device implantations, patient management, and outpatient clinics without on-call commitments. The successful candidate will be immersed in a supportive environment alongside experienced medical professionals.
Job summary: Applications are invited for a post CCT fellow in devices, with an option to include either heart failure or ICC as an additional sub-specialty. This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months and would suit a registrar with their CCT looking to further enhance their experience in devices including complex device implant, pacemaker lead extraction, sub-cutaneous ICDs, leadless devices and conduction system pacing. There are opportunities to provide outpatient clinics, support the care of inpatients under the devices team, and to attend and present at the devices and endocarditis MDTs. While there is no on-call commitment attached to this post, there will be opportunities to gain experience in general cardiology on-call (consultant level) in a supportive environment.
