Advanced Technician - CNC

We are looking for an Advanced Technician to join our CNC team based in Coventry. This role involves supporting the subtractive manufacturing processes from job request to component delivery, including:

  • Supporting manufacturing engineers in delivering products and services
  • Providing technical input into manufacturing feasibility reviews
  • Machine tool programming, setting, and operation
Main Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be apprentice trained or have equivalent experience in:

  • Producing components on various CNC lathes/machining centres
  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes
  • Mentoring apprentices
Person Specification:

We seek a candidate who:

Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
  • Setting and operating 2 & 3 axis CNC lathes
  • Programming CNC lathes, preferably on Siemens ShopTurn
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • Confidence in using measuring equipment
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
  • Setting and operating 3 & 5 axis machining centres
