Reaseheath College and University Centre in Cheshire near Nantwich seeks an Advanced Technical Trainer in Engineering to deliver high-quality apprenticeship training across Bus and Coach, Construction Plant, Rail and Agricultural Engineering. The role supports block release with industry-aligned standards and on-site delivery.

Qualifications

  • Industry experience in Agricultural/ Bus and Coach/ Construction Plant/ Rail operations, maintenance, or engineering.
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
  • Strong teaching, training, or mentoring skills (teaching qualifications desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, health and safety standards, and qualifications.
  • A passion for innovation and inspiring the next generation of rail professionals.

Overview

Our Academy of Engineering covers Agricultural, Motor Vehicle and Large Transport Vehicle Engineering which includes Bus and Coach, Construction Plant, and Rail, with multiple training facilities across our campus to ensure our learners are industry focused and career ready.

The College has significantly invested in the Engineering facility, with a £7 million Advanced Engineering and Agri-Tech Centre boasting some fantastic, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for teaching purposes. A new facility, at our Reaseheath Engineering Apprenticeship Academy, was purpose built to accommodate the growth in demand within Large Transport Vehicle engineering. We also have an impressive five bay and hi spec equipment facility for our Motor Vehicle cohort.

About the role

Due to significant growth in the Engineering department, we're looking for motivated and innovative Advanced Technical Trainers to deliver high-quality, progressive training and assessment for our Bus and Coach, Construction Plant, Rail and Agricultural Engineering Apprentices. These are vital role's within the Engineering department, providing practical delivery to our Apprentices who are on block release from their employers.

Key responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality apprenticeship training aligned with industry and accreditation standards.

As a College, we actively encourage applications from industry professionals without a teaching qualification, as well as those from qualified teachers. Reaseheath offers a full CPD programme with access to funded qualifications alongside hands on support whilst completing Further Education Training. Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role, will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.
