Job summary

Ultrapharm Ltd in Pontypool, part of the Finsbury Food Group, is seeking an Advanced Team Leader to support a gluten-free bakery operation on a 4 on 4 off schedule, 6am-6pm. The role focuses on safety, quality and lean continuous improvement on the shop floor.

You will supervise and coach the team, work with the Manufacturing Shift Lead, manage labour, and drive daily targets while maintaining health and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety and IOSH Supervising Safely qualifications or willingness to achieve.
• FDQ Level 2 Diploma for Proficiency in Food Industry Team Leading is mandatory and supported by the company.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support your team to deliver Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People targets.
• Lead by example, coach and develop colleagues, support new starter training and ensure standards and procedures are followed.
• Work with the Manufacturing Shift Lead to manage labour, respond to production plans and keep daily production on track.
• Use Leader Standard Work and Short Interval Control meetings to monitor performance and resolve issues while upholding Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality.
• Communicate with the team through huddles, briefs and shift handovers to keep everyone aligned and the production plan on track.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the operation.
