Job summary

Askham Bryan College in York is seeking a dynamic Advanced Teaching and Learning Coach (ATLC) on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE, 22.2 hours). The role sits within the Quality Team and focuses on driving Quality First Teaching across departments to improve student outcomes and teaching standards.

Qualifications

• FE experience required with proven track record of good or better lesson visits.
• Strong ability to coach, mentor and develop colleagues to improve teaching quality.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to raise standards and student outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of teaching practice across curriculum areas, modelling excellence.
• Coach and mentor staff to embed outstanding pedagogical approaches and improve classroom delivery.
• Support quality assurance through lesson visits, focus groups and evaluative activities.
• Design and deliver targeted CPD programmes tailored to departmental needs.
• Champion the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning.
