Job overview Permanent and temporary opportunities available. Job share applications welcome. Not every young person thrives in a mainstream classroom. At Outwood Alternative Provision Eston, we work with students who need something different: a smaller setting, stronger relationships, and adults who genuinely believe in their potential. We're looking for Advanced Teaching Assistants who can provide the consistency, encouragement and specialist support that helps young people re-engage with education.
This is a role for someone who is patient, resilient and emotionally intelligent, and who understands that progress is often measured in small but significant steps. Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff, you'll deliver targeted interventions, support learning in and beyond the classroom, and help students overcome barriers linked to SEND, social, emotional and mental health needs. Every day is different, and while the role can be demanding, the opportunity to make a lasting difference to a young person's future is immense.
