Job summary

Outwood Academy Hindley is inviting applications for an Advanced Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted interventions and high-quality learning activities to individuals and small groups, both on-site and online.

The role includes monitoring progress with ICT systems, supporting SEN/EAL students, and assisting in implementing development plans. A Level 3 qualification and robust experience in schools are required, with CPD opportunities offered by the school.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a Level 3 qualification relating to working with children and young people.
• Essential experience includes working flexibly to meet business needs, in a school setting or with children/young people, and supporting students in small group or one-to-one situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned learning activities and intervention programmes to small groups or individuals in various environments, adjusting delivery based on student responses.
• Involve in assessing, monitoring, and recording student development and attainment via ICT systems, tracking impact of interventions.
• Support students with SEN and those for whom English is not their first language; provide short-term cover for learning environments and support individual development plans (EHCPs); manage resources and invigilate exams.
