Job description

Our client in North West London has an opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join them in an Advanced Surgical Vet Capacity. Candidates must at the very minimum hold at least one surgical certificate, ideally an AVP. Candidates should be capable of carrying out the following procedures:

• Extensive experience in small animal surgery, including ability to perform TPLO/TTAs or equivalent.
• Spinals.
• Fracture repair and complex soft tissue (e.g., perineal urethrostomy, TECA, BOAS, thoracotomy).

The successful candidate will be joining a large team of vets, with partners who have decades of experience between them. There are multiple certificate holders/referral vets and a team of exceptional nurses and support staff, as well as a dedicated night team.

Included in the vet team are a number of less experienced vets, including those looking to progress surgically. The role will also include mentoring these vets.

The practice is superbly equipped with:

• MRI.
• CT.
• Extensive orthopaedic suite, including TPLOs, Spinal, Arthroscopy, Laparoscopy.
• Digital X-Ray.
• MiLab X7 Ultrasound.
• Multi-parameter monitors.
• Everything else you would expect to see in such a large Tier 3 hospital.

The package for this role is up to £95k, based on a 4-day week, plus a host of additional benefits to be discussed.
