The NHS is seeking an Advanced Specialist Pharmacist to lead anticoagulation services within a Major Trauma centre. This role involves providing clinical pharmacy services across various surgical specialties, mentoring staff, and contributing to strategic planning. Candidates will have the opportunity to develop their skills and work towards credentialing for a consultant post, with a supportive team environment.

Are you seeking to develop your clinical skills and work within well-respected, proactive multidisciplinary teams as the pharmacy lead for anticoagulation, while also providing clinical pharmacy services across surgery?
Would you like to be the pharmacy lead focusing on thrombosis and anticoagulation services, working closely with the Trust venous thromboembolism (VTE) lead?
Would you like to work towards credentialing for a consultant post and utilize your skills as a non-medical prescriber within anticoagulation services at the Trust?

Candidates who meet the qualifications but may not yet demonstrate full knowledge or experience at Band 8a will still be considered for this role as a Band 7 to Band 8a progression opportunity, with necessary support to achieve progression milestones.
Further study and practice research will be encouraged and supported. This role attracts a Recruitment & Retention Premia (RRP) of £5,000, payable upon appointment, plus a relocation allowance (subject to eligibility). The RRP is for external candidates only and pro-rated for part-time employees.
