Job description

Job summary

Are you an innovative and experienced dietitian with a passion for haematology, nutrition support including parenteral nutrition, and service improvement? Do you thrive on leading, developing, and mentoring team members? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled lead haematology dietitian to work with our St. Mark's Nutrition Support Team within our dynamic Nutrition & Dietetics department. This pivotal role involves shaping and advancing our haematology dietetic service and developing your parenteral nutrition skills to ensure outstanding patient care.

Main duties of the job

You will be an integral part of the ward multi-disciplinary teams for haematology and oncology inpatients, as well as managing a surgical caseload. You will support the St. Mark's Nutrition Team and assist during leave periods. Based at Northwick Park Hospital, as the senior member of the acute dietetic team covering nutrition support wards, you will help junior staff with caseloads and provide clinical support. The role offers a varied caseload and opportunities to develop leadership skills, participate in audits, service development, and innovation. You will lead, supervise, and support junior staff, deliver education and training, and be involved in evidence-based learning and service promotion across the department and Trust.

The ideal candidate will have strong oral and enteral nutrition experience in specialist areas. Experience in haematology is desirable but not essential. You should focus on providing a high-quality, responsive dietetic service and be active in clinical and strategic service development.
