Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic dietetic team, providing clinical dietetic services across specialist areas for children and adults in community and acute settings throughout Fife. We maintain strong links with Pharmacy, Prescribing, and Health Promotion Teams.

We seek an experienced and innovative Dietitian with excellent clinical, organisational, communication, digital, and people skills to work within the Eating Disorders Advanced Intervention Team (EDAIT). This role involves delivering comprehensive dietetic services to adults with eating disorders in the community-based multidisciplinary team based in Cardenden. Travel across Fife is required. You will provide services to clinics, out-patients, and make domiciliary visits as appropriate, with close liaison with the EDAIT members.

The post is managed within the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities (MH and LD) team, comprising nine Dietitians serving various specialist multidisciplinary teams including CAHMS, Community Mental Health, and Learning Disabilities. Key areas include dietary assessments, nutritional status reviews, support for artificial nutrition, weight management, physical health, and texture modification.

You will be supported by the Clinical Lead Dietitian for the MH and LD team, your peers within the team, and across the department.

The Nutrition & Clinical Dietetic Service is a Fife-wide service with a leadership structure around clinical teams including Acute, Weight Management & Diabetes, Mental Health & Learning Disabilities, Nutritional Support, Older People, Infant Nutrition, CYP & Paediatrics. We collaborate with Food & Health Teams, operate a Non-Prescribing Model for nutritional supplements and enteral feeds, and use dietetic-led models of care with non-medical prescribing Dietitians.

The service provides undergraduate and graduate training, with rotations for new graduates across teams, and supports ongoing professional development through postgraduate training. The department offers good administrative and IT support, social media, and online resources.

Applicants must be HCPC registered, with appropriate skills and experience. Induction and training will be provided to facilitate your transition into the role.

Unsuccessful candidates may be offered a position on the Dietetic bank.

Note: Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this role may require a different level of criminal records check, including joining the PVG Scheme if classified as a 'regulated role'. Any changes will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team. For details, visit: .
