Job summary

Coventry City Council is seeking an Advanced Social Worker (Advanced Practitioner) to join the West area Help and Protection team on a full-time permanent basis. You will oversee the most complex cases in children’s services and provide coaching and support to social workers at different levels.

Flexibility is offered with nine-day fortnights and a supportive wellbeing framework to ensure you can deliver high-quality outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered social worker with advanced practitioner status.
• Experience mentoring Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs).
• Proven track record managing complex cases in Children, Young People and Families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a caseload of highly complex children’s cases.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and support to NQSWs and experienced social workers.
• Lead professional wisdom in high-complexity situations.
• Help deliver effective, efficient services for children, young people and families.

About the Role:

We are on the lookout for an Advanced Social Worker (Advanced Practitioner) who shares our commitment to providing the best possible support to our Children, Young People and Families to join us on a full time permanent basis in our West area Help and Protection team.

As an Advanced Social Worker, you will oversee a caseload of the most complex cases in children's services and will play a pivotal role in providing coaching, mentoring, and support to both Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) and experienced Social Workers. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding and offering professional wisdom in situations of high complexity.
