Hull City Council is recruiting an experienced Advanced Social Worker for the Kinship Assessment Team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality social work to secure permanency and stable outcomes for children and families, coaching staff and fostering carers, and ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards.

You will lead complex casework, supervise less experienced staff, and collaborate with partners to strengthen safeguarding across the service.

• Advanced Social Workers operate with genograms and systemic tools.
• Demonstrate a high standard of practice with a focus on risk management.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to overarching strategy and service vision, ensuring permanency and stability for children.
• Work with parents, carers and colleagues to ensure child-centered practice.
• Manage high-risk, complex caseloads with robust analysis.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to ASYE and junior staff.
• Prepare and support meetings/processes (Foster Panel, Reviews, etc.).
• Develop partnerships to coordinate safeguarding arrangements.
