Job Description:

Job Title: Advanced Social Work Practitioner

Location: Leeds

Rate: £37 per hour

Hours: Mon to Fri, 8:30 – 17:00

Responsibilities:

• Support and assess student social workers on placement in Barnsley.
• Supervise, support, and guide Newly Qualified Social Workers during their Assessed and Supported Year in Practice.
• Develop and deliver training aligned with the Barnsley Stronger Together practice model.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Team to embed learning from audits.
• Promote multi-agency working and good practices across services.
• Ensure staff have resources and tools for professional development.
• Mentor and support colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving licence, and possess a degree or equivalent in Social Work. Post-qualified experience and evidence of practice or mentoring are essential.
