Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking an Advanced Social Work Practitioner in the Broxtowe Community Social Work Team. You will lead and inspire the team, implement new working practices, and provide expert guidance to peers to improve care planning and outcomes.

You will assess needs, engage service users, and monitor interventions, shaping the future of local social work through collaboration and innovation within a supportive, flexible environment.

Qualifications

  • A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Full driving licence and access to a car for work.

As an Advanced Social Work Practitioner in the Broxtowe Community Social Work Team, you'll be at the forefront of transforming social care. You will play a pivotal role in developing our all-age working practices, supporting our Team Managers, and implementing innovative changes. In This Role, You Will
  • Lead and inspire the team to deliver high-quality social care services.

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
  • A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in adult social care, ideally in a community setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social work.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • You will either be an Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) a Best Interests Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator (Level 2) Knowledge and experience of safeguarding adult's work within multi-agency procedures and experience of staff supervision, training, and development.
  • You will have a full driver’s licence and the use of a car for work (unless disability precludes this).
